Trivandrum: In connection with the renovation of Bridge No.136 (KM 96/200–300) between Chengannur and Mavelikara railway stations on 14th/15th March 2026, the following changes in the pattern of train services have been made:
DIVERSION OF TRAINS
The following trains scheduled to run via Kottayam will be diverted via Alappuzha:
1) Train No.12624 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Superfast Mail (JCO 14.03.2026) will be diverted between Kayamkulam Jn. and Ernakulam Town to run via Alappuzha. Skipping its scheduled stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam & Tripunithura. For the convenience of passengers, additional stoppages will be provided at Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Jn.
2) Train No.16312 Thiruvananthapuram – Shri Ganganagar Express (JCO 14.03.2026)will be diverted between Kayamkulam and Ernakulam Town to run via Alappuzha, skipping its scheduled stoppages at Chengannur, Tiruvalla & Kottayam. For the convenience of passengers, additional stoppages at Alappuzha & Ernakulam Jn.
3) Train No.16319 Thiruvananthapuram – SMVT Bengaluru Express (JCO 14.03.2026)
Skipping Chengannur & Kottayam. Additional stoppages at Kayamkulam, Alappuzha & Ernakulam Jn. for the convenience of passengers.
4) Train No.16629 Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Malabar Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be diverted between Kayamkulam Jn. and.Ernakulam Town to run via Alappuzha, skipping its scheduled stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam & Piravom Road. Additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Jn.
5) Train No.22503 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be diverted between Kayamkulam Jn. and Ernakulam Town to run via Alappuzha, skipping its scheduled stoppages at Chengannur & Kottayam. Additional stoppages at Kayamkulam, Alappuzha & Ernakulam Jn. for.the convenience of passengers
6) Train No.16343 Thiruvananthapuram – Rameswaram Amrita Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be diverted between Ernakulam Town and Kayamkulam Jn. to run via Alappuzha, skipping its scheduled stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery & Kottayam. The train will have additional stoppages at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Jn.
7) Train No.16349 Thiruvananthapuram North – Nilambur Road Rajyarani Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be diverted between Ernakulam Town and Kayamkulam Jn. to run via Alappuzha, skipping its scheduled stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery & Kottayam. Additional stoppages at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Jn. for.the convenience of passengers.
8) Train No.16347 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Mangaluru Daily Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be diverted between Kayamkulam Jn. and Ernakulam Town to run via Alappuzha, skipping its scheduled stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam & Piravom Road. Additional stoppages at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala & Ernakulam Jn.
PARTIAL CANCELLATION
1) Train No.16327 Madurai – Guruvayur Daily Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be short-terminated at Kollam and partially cancelled between Kollam and Guruvayur.
2) Train No.16328 Guruvayur – Madurai Express (JCO 15.03.2026) will commence service from Kollam. The train will be partially cancelled between Guruvayur and Kollam.
3) Train No.16366 Nagercoil – Kottayam Daily Express (JCO 14.03.2026) will be short-terminated at Kayamkulam and partially cancelled between Kayamkulam and Kottayam.
4) Train No.12695 MGR Chennai – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast (JCO 13.03.2026) will be short-terminated at Kottayam and partially cancelled between Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram.
5) Train No.12696 Thiruvananthapuram – MGR Chennai Superfast (JCO 14.03.2026) will originate from Kottayam and will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram and Kottayam.
